VL2 is an automated, web-based search engine developed for searching throughthe electoral rolls. It includes features like phoneticmatching (in Indian languages) and multilingualinterfaces for maximum usability and accessibility.Many measures are also taken to ensure VL2 usability on machines that may not support multilingual software.
VL2 is fully-functional, and has been tested with realdata. These tests have shown VL2 to be remarkablyfast, accurate and relevant. Currently, VL2 fulfills theneed of voters to find information about their voting booth, its address and so on. It is envisioned thatVL2 may also be used in the future for a completelyautomated search-assisted voter registration system.VL2 was deployed as pilot case, on suggestion of Election Commissionfor for Chief Electoral Officer,Maharashtra as a online application for searchingvoterlist as well as an application for helplines set upby district collectors of Mumbai main, Mumbaisuburbs and Thane districts for the AssemblyElections held in October 2004.

Shidha is a Web Based application for data entry and analysis of ration card renewation application.It has feature such as completely unicode based Marathi interface .(apart from English)Facility of using oterlist of the particular area for obtaining names of adult family members and thus reducing data entry, auto completion for names using voter list data among others.This was used as reference model for the Solapur Pilot Project by Food and Ciovil Supply Deptt. Govt Of Maharashtra.
