Yudit : A multilingual Unicode compliant editor
Yudit is a very simple , easy-to-use Unicode compliant multilingual editor. You can create a document where in the same document you can have all the world's scripts (almost).
Introduction
Yudit is a free (as in beer and speech) Unicode editor written by Gapsar Sinai. It supports writing in almost all of Indian scripts/languages including Devanagari(Hindi & Marathi),Gujarati, Bangla, Sanskrit,Tamil.
Installation on Windows
Installing Yudit on windows is very simple. We have customized yudit to make it Indian Language enabled , so you can download it from our website www.indictrans.org. 'How to install indian language enabled yudit ?' You can download yudit setup from http://www.yudit.org also. However we are also keeping a copy with localized versions on this site. Once you have the setup file, double click on it to install.
By default, Yudit will be installed in "Program Files" directory. Another directory named HOME is created on the same drive. This directory contains a file named yudit.properties which stores all configurations for yudit.
To add a font to yudit simply copy it to "fonts" directory in Yudit installation directory and add name of that font in a line starting with
yudit.fonts.TrueType=....
in yudit.properties.
e.g.
to add a font named Gargi.ttf, edit the line to look like the following
yudit.fonts.TrueType=Gargi.ttf,arial.ttf,....

How to install Indian langauage enabled Yudit on window?
Download yudit-indic-spport.exe from download section of our website www.indictrans.org.
After downloading the file doubleclick to execute.
you will see a small screen with some buttons Click ok.
Then click on Unzip button.
After finishing the installaltion click on close button.
Thats it ! You're done.
You should able to start yudit by double clicking on
